Good day! Being part of this class was really a great opportunity. I enjoyed mapping and learned a lot as well. First I have learned the value of quality over efficiency. What are we doing here was not that easy , especially it is not my forte,so I need to make sure that my work was good because it has a great impact to other people who will use the map. Second, be mindful on what I am doing. And lastly, learn to ask question. With the help of our trainor, I’ve learned to go out to my shell. Thanks a lot!

It is such a great experience. i’m happy that I became part of this #MapaTime in our #CWTS. I enjoyed mapping new buildings in many places. I’ve learned so many things that can apply in reality. I also learned to be extra careful in doing #MapaTime. I also learned the purpose of doing this (mapping) and its importance to us most especially to the places that experiencing natural disasters like earthquake, landslide and etc. It helps to determine easily the places experiencing such calamities/ natural disaster. #HappyMe because aside from I enjoyed doing it, I’m also happy because I know that by doing mapping I contributed in our country. As a first year BSA student, mapping communities isn’t align to my course; hence it is for everyone’s knowledge about our surroundings. Mapping doesn’t only entails simple analyzation but it requires more focus and more analytical skills than the usual. It widens our knowledge & opens our eyes on what/s really needed in our society. The mapping helped me as a student of BSA to test my skills. The skills needed in mapping and doing financial statements are quite similar. In mapping, you need to be focused on your task, thus; very similar on what you do in financial statements. Aside from being focused, you must be know how to look if it is accurate or not. Accuracy is also a must in mapping, you should really make sure if that is really a building or whatsoever, like in accounting, you should know whether that transaction will be a debit or credit. and lastly, mapping really helps in so many ways – it can be used for the succeeding years by the people around the vicinity.

I’m a college student from PUP san juan campus. There’s a lot of things that I’ve learned from mapping. First, it is very helpful not just for us filipinos but also to other people outside the country because it is an intrument in times of disasters and calamities however it is also been an instrument for disinformation in locations. Second, I’ve learned that you need patience in doing this because the houses in some areas are not clear so it is hard for you to map that area. Last is happiness, as a teenager, technologies (computers) are very familiar for me so by this subject I am happy because computers are needed in doing mapping.

This day was the last of our mapping lesson. I enjoyed mapping as well as learn new things for the past 5 weeks. The training we had is very interactive and the trainer was very hands on on us, we can easily reach out them anytime we ask for something we don’t k know. I hope that I could be part of this #MapaTime because I want to learn more from it and I enjoying doing this thing. And also I’m happy because somehow I can contribute to my nation. To our instructor and trainer thank you for this opportunity to learn new things that we haven’t done in our life. More power and God bless!

I am a PUPSJ student who became a MapaTime participant through CWTS. I never once heard of mapping before it was announced to us. I have used online maps before but I never wondered how it was built or how the information are acquired. Through our mapping sessions, I was able to help somehow through inputting info and modifying features and more. I learnt how important mapping is. And, it was also fun.

This mapping is new to me because I just used google map as a guide but I never knew that I can also do mapping by myself. My experience in doing mappings are very helpful for me and also for the others because I learned new things about how am i going to map the places with the proper guidance of the facilitators and by the use of this mapping I can help others. The things that I learned from mapatime and from facilitators can contribute to guide me and also the others. I hope it will continue because it is very helpful for us to know that we can also do mappings and not just using map apps as a guide.

I entered the first session without any background knowledge about mapping. I became interested the moment i knew what mapping is all about. I never had any experiences in volunteering, and knowing that mapping can help people even without personally interacting with them, is really nice. There are lots of new things that I’ve learned each session that i know I can use to help others. I am grateful for having this opportunity, for being able to learn something new and contribute my time for this activity.

     As a student, and taking up the subject CWTS as Accountancy Students. It is necessarily all about how we cope in the community or socialize. And I'm here in the subject requirement which is Mapping and I am excited because I love to  or see remember some streets. And in every schedule in our mapping I learned a different mapping procedure,style. And it is for the benefit of the organization specially in the Philippines. To map the other place in our county especially in the corner side of every places in the Philippines and the other provincial side of our country. And as a mapper we need to be persistent, patience and hardworking.

being a participants of this activity is great opportunities for us, students who learned lots of new things that is useful and could help others. We learned to map places, schools, building even streets and etc. that could useful for emergencies. and also i learned the importance of this activities, on why we need this to learned this mapping thing. we just not learned from it but also we enjoyed the activities that we’ve done. i’m really thankful for the opportunities that are given on us to be part of this mapping activity/program. :)))

As an accountancy student taking the subject CWTS, I have realised the importance of knowing how to map. At first, I thought mapping would be “we’re going to different places” but I was wrong. I have learned so much. I am happy because I know just by the use of computer I have helped many mappers through mapping those buildings, correcting the roads, and recently mapping the schools. I can say that I have contributed to our community. I must say, thank you for giving us the opportunity to do this kind of activity. Such a wonderful experience.

I am one of the participants of MapaTime. I had fun doing it because i know that in this simple way i can contribute to the community. At first i thought that it is just a waste of time but as the days go by i learn the deeper meaning of mapping. Knowing that I can help in the community makes me feel so overwhelmed.

Maybe it's been a month since we started our class in our cwts class, specifically in mapping. To be honest when our first meeting, I do not have any idea of what we will do in mapping, basically zero knowledge but eventually I have learned a lot of things. I have learned that even if you are not literally going outside of the community you can still volunteer and help other people like doing some mapping. Our class in mapping was really helpful in terms of teaching us on how to be productive or useful. I surely appreciate the significance of every meeting that we attended. In a short span of time, I am really grateful that even if in small way I contributed in the community.

At first I thought it would be boring but I was mistaken. The mapping we have been doing for the past few months will be of help when the time comes yet we don’t really think of it as that because we enjoyed the activity. Through mapping I learned that there is more to CWTS that the seminars we had in the first semester of this school year. that even in simple ways we can be useful to our community. overall, the experience was great, I just wish that the images were clearer so that it’d be much more easier to map buildings and the likes.

I am a student of PUP San Juan taking up CWTS. I didn’t expect that in my program BSA (Bachelor of Science in Accountancy) I would have a subject that is not applicable on my course and it is Mapping. Actually at first I don’t care about this subject because it’s just wasting my time however when I already started it I don’t know that it is in the computer and I felt grate because I like working in a computer because it’s more efficient. Mapping is the only interesting subject because from this subject I learned that even though I don’t have power or money to help others especially in an emergency time I could help them in a simple just like this in mapping. Also This mapping is just an easy activity for me and it is a great experience for me and it also can be my stress reliever. So I want to thank you my professor for bringing up this subject.

The Unique Mappers 13th - 17th of December 2019, carried out a mapping project in Umu Ezike community in Enugu state. Particularly on Ogrute hill that produces Mushroom natural during rainy season for the community.

During a recent visit to the American Midwest, Ann and I browsed an antique shop where I found a copy of Tarr & McMurry’s 1916 edition of “New Introductory Geography”, a textbook, for five dollars. Since it is long out of copyright I have begun scanning some of the lovely color plates and have posted two of Africa to Wikipedia.
