These bits were accidentally left tagged as trunk while the rest was demoted to primary a while ago.

In this changeset I made what I think is a reasonable assumption that the camera is strapped to a power pole. I took a look at Bing StreetSide imagery, and it seems like an ok spot for ALPR placement.

It could totally be on a dedicated post, though, so we're waiting on more info from ground survey.

I carried Rio Road south to Snipe Road.

The western campus border is the city line, so I glued those together.

Previously, the adjacency was approximate, and some overlap was apparent. This was less semantically correct.

By "semantics" I'm mostly referring to connectedness such as (1) parking aisles connecting to parking areas at their boundaries and (2) a paved footway connecting to the gazebo it leads to.

The "North" directional prefix is also fine here, but I don't see it in open county GIS data so omitted it. I didn't bother checking if TIGER still had it, probably does. Did STL county drop its locator grid?

It's not *technically* renamed yet (the EO merely directs the Interior Dept. to pursue renaming it), but it will be renamed within a month. I don't think it will be that controversial.

This changeset elevated the existing tags from the enclosed way to two relations: one referring to the outer entity and one referring to the inner entity. Both entities are officially called "Maple Woods Natural Area", which is very confusing.

The outer entity is recognized by the National Park Service as Maple Woods Natural Area, and the Missouri Conservation Department treats it as if it were one of its conservation areas with an idiosyncratic name. Gladstone parks and rec calls it Maple Woods Nature Preserve or simply Maple Woods Preserve. This outer entity is NOT a natural area in the sense of the state natural area program despite its name.

The inner entity is recognized by MDC as the "true" natural area under the state natural areas program.

It would fix everything to rename the larger/outer entity as "Maple Woods Conservation Area", which is actually how it *was* mapped on OSM despite that not being an official name. The sign on the ground says "Maple Woods Natural Area" when referring to the whole outer entity.

As of now, "Maple Woods Conservation Area" is not a name used by the state

By default, though, we expand abbreviations unless the abbreviated form can be argued as "more proper" (e.g. brand names, surnames, etc.). In this case, "Ste." is an abbreviated form of "Sainte", and the first sentence of the Wikipedia article you refer to even uses this expanded form.

I think we should spell it out again as "Sainte Genevieve County".

I have mapped it as a dedicated highway=busway in changeset/161145087. Sadly, Carto does not render this; people've tried to get the tag supported for some years now. (An alternative tagging scheme exists by creating a sub-type of service road, but it's discouraged.)
