| 126125104 | Nice to see! I just updated the canoe/paddle craft/water trail mapping guidance on the Michigan wiki page and have _just_ started to work on a OpenStreetBrowser category to show them. In fact, it was how I found you had mapped this. You can follow along, and/or join in, here:

| 102827517 | Found this a year later, but this was correctly tagged as highway=path A cycleway is only for bicycles (and implies a more freeway like experience).
Also see the Michigan Wikipage for information about our monthly meetings. |
| 112032163 | Very good. Just wanted to make sure. If you were not already aware of this, Michigan mappers have been meeting each month. We would be glad to have you join us.
We could talk about that "mapping multi-use paths as only cycleways" problem. 😉 Personally, I point people to the common tagging scheme section of Michigan's Wiki page. |
| 112032163 | Should a yearly race really be mapped as a bicycle route?
| 111210848 | Hmm...
I would lean toward "covered=yes" on the way, connected to the edges of the building's roof, as they suggest. <shrug> |
| 111210848 | Wait a minute... I think I know who this is. Changed your username? |
| 111210848 | I think you would want to make the roof a separate building part. Otherwise you'll levitate the entire building. 😏 Not sure if I can make the next one, however, I'd like to invite you to join other Michigan mappers who have been meeting each month. See the community section of our Wiki page.
This would be a good discussion topic. |
| 114810770 | * I'd also... |
| 114810770 | Saw the "Proposed Ramp" in OsmAnd. It likely shows, might even route, in other systems. Systems like my car, that only refreshes it's map data every year or two. 😏 Have a look at "Lifecycle prefixes".
Also, "Names are not for descriptions"
I've also like to invite you to join other Michigan mappers who have been meeting each month. See the community section of our Wiki page.

| 111210848 | Are service ways under roofs really tunnels? |
| 77600753 | Unless that track is really named, "CLOSED April 1-Sept 14", might I suggest the use of conditional restrictions and the description tag, rather than the name tag. * osm.wiki/Good_practice#Don't_use_name_tag_to_describe_things
Also, Michigan mappers have been meeting up once a month. See our Wiki page for details (and a cheat sheet for common mapping schemes and more).

| 122822870 | Oops. That would be me using the new phone app "Every Door", not knowing that by touching the big blue button saying "cards are accepted" was behind the scenes adding the tags for all the options in the "Default Payment Types", which I had not configured for our area. I'll have to follow my tracks to fix this. Not sure we've met. Since 2020, many Michigan mappers have been meeting monthly. watch the Wiki for information about the next meeting.

| 122835724 | Very good. Just wanted to make sure. In case you didn't already know this, Michigan mappers have been meeting each month. See the WIki for information. osm.wiki/Michigan#Community |
| 122835724 | If it is not there, yet, maybe the use of the "planned:" or "proposed:" namespaces would be appropriate here.
| 122835724 | A few weeks ago, I rode the B2B and did not see this trail branching off. Is it there and I just missed it?
| 121057334 | Have a look at these bicycling focused renders:
During my visit, last fall, I took Mapillary photos of the northwestern section of that trail, but haven't had time to do similiar for it. |
| 35912832 | Thanks. I just deleted it. It was a police camera, recently moved somewhere else. Looks like my accidentally labeling it as a "speed" camera might have been caused, in part, by my use of OsmAnd as a mobile editor, before there was Vespucci. |
| 121062548 | Thanks. Good catch, on both accounts. In Vespucci, I did download a large enough area to catch that the entire building had been labeled as Schuler. And having been a customer of theirs since their start, I should know better than to make them plural. By the way, I do not believe that Schuler occupies that entire building footprint. The southern end has several other tenants. I am presently uploading the Mapillary imagery that I captured, during my visit today. Maybe it could be used to find the extent of the Schuler and add the other tenants. |
| 121057334 | Great to see that this area has someone on OSM watch. It is nice to meet you. Yes. I did mean to remove "motor_vehicle=no". It is redundant when "path" implies non-motorized and "designated" excludes all other uses. See the Wiki for path.
This is also on the Michigan Wiki page, which has common mapping schemes used in our area. Note the Community section has meeting details updated each month If ever you find the time, we would love it if you could join us.

| 116483755 | I see you have been moving roadways to match the imagery. It may be, that it is the imagery that is off. Take a look at the Wiki page about imagery offsets. osm.wiki/Using_Imagery
