Hi,

Thanks for editing again, just a reminder in the future to not delete parking aisles (the roads used to park) the unless they actually don't exist.

hi,

thanks for editing but I'm a little confused why you had deleted some features
(e.g. the parking lots; the bicycle parking in front of wal-mart, the bicycle parking in front of target) from steelyard commons.

(examples: node/8584623777/history ; node/8586729051/history ; way/749689180/history

way/819735664/history

Please do not delete features that already there unless they no longer physically exist.
Considering the bike racks were just added to the map a few months ago, I would be a little surprised that the bike racks were actually removed.

If you have any questions about mapping, feel free to ask me, or join the osm-us slack - osm.wiki/List_of_OSM_centric_Slack_workspaces

should correct be corrected as " I am assuming that perhaps USBR is supposed to on Whiskey island, which is north of the NS chicago line railroad tracks; there's a bridge that recently opened over the railroad tracks - way/818563656 .

There's also a dedicated, separate cycleway lane along river road which I added as well, perhaps that should also be in USBR 21?

hi steve,

thanks for adding the USBR 21; that was a lot of work!

I was concerned that the USBR 21 that you had mapped north of the cuyahoga river is incorrect; part of the road that USBR ends at is private (gated) and is for an industrial business... I biked this area earlier this week. I am assuming that perhaps USBR is supposed to on Whiskey island, which is north of the NS chicago line railroad tracks and is

(maybe it ends at way/957003778/ ?)

Janet_EG,

Thank you for adding this and many other black museums and institutions to OSM.

hi, thanks for mapping although I'm confused why you added the abandoned cleveland/columbus/southwestern rail line.

Abandoned railways are generally only added if there's physical remnants of the railroad visible to the naked eye. (railway=abandoned?uselang=en) I've been on lorain road countless times as a bicyclist and driver and there's no physical presence that there used to be a rail line there.

(I haven't been on eastland way in sometime either - way/961116005 but I don't think there's any physical infrastructure or remnants of a rail line there either...)

If you're looking to map historical items that are no longer physically present. https://openhistoricalmap.org or umap would be more appropriate.

(if it was an unintentional mistake, you don't have to remap everything, there is a tool to undo changes although it's a little difficult to use; I can do it for you; but won't proceed until you respond.

Hi,

Thanks for mapping although it's unclear why the roads surrounding several of the businesses on Cedar Road were deleted; they appear to be mapped correctly and do exist.

107570943

thanks for these updates; I haven't been around this plaza for a while and it was in need of updating :)

(should have clarified, many times it is possible to editing the existing geometries without too much work)

107399584

Hi,

thanks for editing. your edits are generally good but it's preferred that, when feasible, edit the existing geometries instead of deleting outright and making new ways; I understand that recreating is not always really possible without tons of work, but many times it is and it's helpful to have the past history.

thanks again for editing :)

hi, thanks for editing openstreetmap and welcome.

I wanted to let you know that mapping private driveways is acceptable and not against any rules in OpenStreetMap. (osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information). I have reverted the deletions and restored the driveways to OpenStreetMap.
changeset/106860448

There are limits on what can and cannot be mapped in OSM regarding privacy, but mapping driveways doesn't apply to it (visit osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information)

If you have any questions or ; I'd be happy to try to answer.

hi,

thanks for editing.

Could you share any uses (local businesses, names in newspapers or media) of this area being called 'Tremont West' ? The only use of tremont west that I've heard of is the Tremont West development corp which serves all of tremont.

regards,
will.

hi,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Thanks for editing; Your edits look great so far.
My only suggestions would be to check out the OSIP 6 inch imagery; it's newer than bing and much sharper resolution.
