Hello, i just want you to notice that you have to split the wooded land which i linked because there are some hollers and residential area in it. Thanks :) You should never map a forest that way, i suggest you map the forest around the roads so where you can see the road, just follow its outline but not overdrawing it especially if it's a major road , not a road that goes into a holler (and especially not over a residential area). If you have any more questions, feel free to reach me out (btw I prefer JOSM for mapping wooded landcover)

Please stay away from old tagging of the rivers. Thanks.

Yep, MapSpot is right. Please don't retag it.

I know that, but that doesn't fit the definition. It's a long recurring question, because according to a local(asdfjkll), it's not a nature_reserve nor a protected area. It's a State Park, a one of its kind.

I also used TIGER Roads 2020 if some road names have changed but if not, i only edited the names from Dr => Drive, Rd => Road etc

Wow, you did a lot of descriptive things on the roads. Although, sometimes i had to change the tagging to match up your descriptions and the OSM tagging scheme. But yea, thanks for these info!

*ponds, lake is bigger than that.

I also used TIGER Roads 2020 for determining road path just i forgot to put it in the sources. (lol)

Retraced relation/3881986 as you wrote "fixme=retrace" but i also noticed that the polygon wasn't aligned

Na látom sikerült mégis csak megcsinálni a templom 3D modelljét. :) Szép munka

113541616

Ah, it makes sense

113541616

I hope you will fix the forest boundary because the w:1000645713 isn't accurate, it overlaps into houses and such

Á, most már értem.

Sorry, my brain was thinking forward a bit, NAIP is from 2019-2020 in VA (in WV it's from 2020)

114004278

Yep, i noticed, i took advantage of that when i did my own couch mappings in VA, as you can see i mapped that huge forest part around VA 43 towards I-64.

Note that the western area is older than the national set, because it's from 2018, and the NAIP is from 2018. There was a recent refreshment of the imagery of the eastern part of VA, it's from 2021, actually in OSM US Slack a user posted a comparison of the tiles.

Btw, if you'd like you can join the OSM US Slack community here: https://slack.openstreetmap.us/

or if you're familiar with discord, there is OSM World: https://discord.gg/openstreetmap

Oh wow! this looks impressive to see someone's adding a lot of forest landcover in Virginia (just like me adding a lot in WV :) )

Thanks for the corrections! to be honest, all roads outside Raleigh County is left unaligned even if i drew a lot of landcover as you can see.

I don't know if you heard of this, but i'm doing a tasking manager project for that county:
https://tasks.openstreetmap.us/projects/258/tasks
and i'm right now at 91%, i'm mostly done with that county luckily, it took me a year to get there, because i also did another county in parallel (Coshocton County, Ohio) + i have university studies going on.

Btw i always appreciate the help you give out just sometimes i hate OSM Carto when it renders stuff weirdly because something is overlapping it :D
