pennsylvania's townships are 8, not 7.

Importing townships from TIGER 2017. The existing data was from TIGER 2008, but only included cities and boroughs. Generally speaking this replaces geometry on the existing boundaries with the newer data. The county boundaries in some cases are glued to the rivers, in which case I tried to leave them intact. Where the counties run freely I also replaced them.

This trashed some data where nodes were shared between admin ways and other ways (usually roads). I learned a bit about the "replace geometry" tool.

Looks like at least one multipolygon goofed up here: osm.org/go/ZWsernWUk

It looks like a large number of nodes without ways were added here.

Hello, was the label node on Elizabeth Township deleted for any reason?

I've caught several of these actually — are you properly searching for multipolygon buildings that are already mapped?

WOW that's confusing. Their interchange diagram does point at that segment, and the distances given are perfectly consistent. It just didn't look right to me. Forward/backward is probably right.

I would argue that putting multiple SR numbers on a roadway is complete nonsense here: The entire premise is that it refers to the whole roadway itself, not any particular direction. In particular, if a traffic route continues in an uninterrupted straight line, it's pretty clear that the roadway carrying it does the same.

I'm tempted to delete this, since a large footway area does not adequately describe this feature, and the default tile layer does not seem to like it. However, a retail/commercial landuse doesn't seem right to me either. Thoughts?

+1. Welding a boundary to a road or waterway is dubious and brittle at best, but using a divided highway is obviously incorrect.

Can you please explain what you're doing in changeset comments? It's not obvious to me why, for example, the Edgeworth-Coraopolis border should be moved to the south to lie on the Dashields Lock and Dam. osm.wiki/Relation:boundary says to avoid connecting boundaries to physical features unless the boundary is legally defined to be the physical feature.

Pittsburgh neighborhoods do not extend into the rivers.

the tiger: keys don't actually do anything and should mostly be deleted. change the name instead.
