Ciao Loris,

benvenuto su OSM e grazie per le modifiche. Ho delle domande su degli edit.

way/623819750
"carioip" è il nome che viene dato dai biker a questo sentiero?

node/13915274792
cos'è "pian de gnela"? è il nome di quel pratone? ora come ora è mappato come parco ma non sembra corretto (parco su OSM = "Un'area verde, normalmente in un contesto urbano, creato per la ricreazione e il relax.")

We don't map for the renderer: osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer

highway=footway + area=yes is intended for walkable areas that can be routed across in any direction.

area:highway=footway represents the area occupied by a linear highway=footway, mapped separately. This is how the wiki currently describes the distinction.

That said, if the local community has reached a different consensus on this tagging scheme, I'm fine with it. This is not an issue I consider worth arguing over.

Non mi è chiaro questo edit, sono state cancellate 240 attività commerciali. Forse volevi cancellare solo i dati relativi all'indirizzo ma qualcosa è andato storto?

What's ironic is that the references website uses... Google Maps... https://www.id3king.it/Uscite/U2023/Uscita1113/indice_1113.htm

Hi SekeRob, sorry to necropost this 5 years old discussion.

I see that dispensing is still set to "dispensing=no", in the next version yet you changed drive_through from no to yes. Maybe you wanted to change dispensing and changed drive_through by mistake?

thanks and good mapping

Based on socials, it should be an amenity=cafe. shop=coffee is for place where coffee is sold (beams or pods), not served.

p.s. if you confirm the one you photographed has correct coordinates, we can remove "fixme=resurvey"

169014752

e.g. this one, on the other side of the road, seems pretty big, could be him: https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=1144803817699436&focus=photo&x=0.4752217478990721&y=0.3035157494208669&zoom=0&lat=37.310053904337&lng=13.585131080214&z=17

According to the MASAF (italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests), they are two different trees: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1tLHZ2paaloRnSssDTWUoP43nSJIhdBc&ll=37.31019201966755%2C13.585528114368145&z=19

I never saw duplicates in the MASAF database, the coordinates could be wrong tho (or the tree removed since last update). Are you sure there were no other monumental ficus nearby (lets say in a 10m radius)?

Hi brianh,

I noticed you deleted all elements except this: node/12118608287

should it be deleted as well?

thanks and good mapping

Hi bxl-forever. Imho the underscore was more correct than the dash. Is the "syntax" used by the same artist on his website: https://www.space-invaders.com/world/bruxelles/
and is the syntax used in the rest of the world for its artworks. Would you consider a change? thanks and good mapping

that's how the schema works, one polygon for the outline, then fill it with building parts.

"The building outline represents the area of land covered by the union of all parts of the building."
"A building should have a single area tagged building=*."

"The entire building outline should be filled with building:part=* areas"

In general multipolygons "are used to represent areas (polygons), typically complex ones with holes inside, or consisting of multiple disjoint parts". This area didn't have holes or disjointed parts, so a multipolygon wasn't needed, as Mannivu noted.

183142280

> I disagree to have only 1 polygon because different parts of building does not have the same height, it will just hide all other parts.

Where do you see this behaviour? The current standard is the "Simple 3D Buildings": osm.wiki/Simple_3D_Buildings
If a renderer doesn't render stuff properly, the renderer should be fixed, not our tagging be adapted to it (some people adds height=0 to the outline, for example...).

183142280

Yep, no need to make the outline as a multipolygon with parts as outers. A simple polygon is enough if there are no inners. Also "building:part=no" it's problematic, since it's treated by some 3D renderers (that do no parse different values) as a building:part.

Hi Frans S,

node/9476167774

what's the meaning of species=sp. A?

159786512

Hi xrt,

node/12386918988

are you sure this (the one linked and the five around it) six trees are pinus? usually pinus are needleaved trees

thanks and good mapping

Hi Virgile1994,

node/3622988452

are you sure this is a pin? usually they are evergreen, not deciduous

thanks and good mapping

Hi user_5589,

please do not add values such as "Quercus sp.". The proper tag is "genus=Quercus". More details can be found in this discussion: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/adding-the-type-of-tree-species-genus/96432/8

Ma perché trasformare semplici poligoni in multipoligoni con un solo outer? Mi sfugge il beneficio della modifica
