Another idea could be to keep just a few of the main highways, and change the others to something like highway=footway+footway=link

I don't have a strong opinion on this. In my view, this information is not incorrect, and it can help routers use the name for guidance (since place=square is not routable). The real issue, in my opinion, is the number of highway segments, which should be simplified. Reducing the number of ways, while keeping routing intact, would also reduce visual clutter on renderers.

The wikipedia tag links to the "Significance" section of the "Isaac Newton's apple tree" article, but the article appears to describe a tree located about 150 km away. That section also doesn't seem to mention this specific tree. Am I missing something?
