| 91925060 | Hi katpatuka. The Multilingual Names article on the wiki[0] indicates that: > People generally agree on using name:code=* where code is a lowercase language's ISO 639-1 alpha2 code (second column)... Those language codes could be found at this page [1]. Can't remember where exactly but I remember reading a discussion about the language codes. Someone there mentioned that Wikipedia's own language code convention does not match the ISO 639-2 so it shouldn't be used. That's why I switched `name:diq` to `name:zza`. About your question, I wish there'd be more Zazaki speaking mappers to discuss it but I'd say we should be using diq.wikipedia.org links for the nodes with `name:zza` as the page for ISO 639-2 codes [1] indicate that `zza` is definitely used for Zazaca, Dimili, Kurmandji. I was just looking at the same bounding box when you wrote this comment BTW :) There are a lot of places with `name:ku` keys have Kurdish names but looks like the person adding those names was not sure so they appended `(?)` to the name values. I'm planning to send an email to talk-tr about how we should handle those. You can see that the Kurdish names are rendered with those question marks on https://maps.wikimedia.org/?lang=ku#13/38.9392/38.9912 I haven't been logging into IRC for a while but I hope to see you in the talk-tr thread :) [0]: osm.wiki/Multilingual_names

Katkilarinizin devami dilegiyle. |

| 102689811 | Here's the route for tomorrow's walk I guess 👍 |
|
| 102689811 | Hi @DanGlover, thanks for pointing this out. You're right. I read the reference number but probably got distracted for a moment and typed part of the phone number instead! I have a photo, no way I can mess it up now. |

| 100000000 | Congratulations! What a great milestone 🎉 |

| 93700967 | Oops! Forgot to update the changeset comment. I've refined part of a coastline. |

| 93308847 | Hi thank you for your contributions. Is this camping site really named "Çadir yeri"? If not, you shouldn't add that to the name field. Marking the place as a camp_site will be sufficient and the map viewing softwares will display it with a relevant icon. Keep contributing, the map grows with your help.

| 93367500 | Hi, thanks for your contribution. Name is used for official or locally known names. If Su is not the official name for this point, you shouldn't put it in the name field. You can leave the name field blank and the maps will still render the drinking_water source with a relevant icon. Keep contributing, the map grows with your help.

| 93016382 | "Mahalle" means neighbourhood. Those places obviously have names but Mahalle.

| 93013562 | I modified the road, by repositioning nodes and removing redundant nodes where road is straight

| 92530118 | Hi again. On OpenStreetMap, name is used for the actual/official name (could be on signage) and it's displayed on the map. If you're not sure about the name, you should leave it blank and someone else who knows might add it later. If you leave the name, map applications will still use a relevant icon without a name. I'll remove the name. If you'd like to know more you can always visit OSM wiki [0] or resources like learnOSM [1]. The map grows thanks to contributions by people like yourself. So please keep contributing. Cheers. [0]: osm.wiki/Main_Page

| 92527364 | Hi thanks. But apparently the existing Teknosa node/poi is used to add Akbank. I'll have to remove Akbank names from this POI, then someone knowing the exact location could move it inside the building. Thanks again, keep contributing 👍 |
|
| 92625922 | Ah, I see now. Thanks for the explanation 👍 |
|
| 92527364 | Hi, thanks for the contribution. Is this place "Akbank" or "Teknosa"? Because there are tags that indicate the place name is Teknosa. Thanks.

|
| 92530118 | Hi, thanks for your contribution. Is this place actually called "Shoemaker"?
|
|
| 92625922 | Hi, is that pool removed now? I can see it in different satellite imagery sources.

| 92745112 | Hi, welcome to the OpenStreetMap, thanks for your contribution. Please do not add desxription or comments in the name fields. Because name fields are displayed on maps, thus your cafe would be named "Cheap and tasty. Big portions" on the map. There's a note field in Maps.me app for a note do the editors. Use that field and other people editing the map could find a way to indicate that. Keep contributing, this map grows with your help. Cheers
