| 5397956 | hackthemap | There are 3 very short sections in the road of this roundabout that are named Charing Cross. All the other sections were renamed to King Charles I Island. If that is correct (see below), were those just forgotten?
I'm not even sure if it should have been renamed to (only) King Charles I Island. It's not indicated that way on lots of maps. But if that is correct, leaving these 3 short sections with the old name seems wrong. It was edited on 10 December 2025 with reference to "According to how Knowledge of London calls it.".

It's really short and completely separate from the (currently 3) sections of St. Margaret Street (note there it's St. not Saint) a bit further south (to the southeast of Parliament Square). In other maps, that is either Parliament Square or the whole eastern part from there to the lower Saint Margaret Street, it's all Saint Margaret Street and not Parliament Square. If the current situation is really correct (even the St. vs. Saint difference), a note=* tag should be added to this street segment and the eastern Parliament Square section, as it looks wrong and will help future mappers looking at this again. |
