The stile marker is incorrect. Should be by the gate on the main track. This picture is looking west.

Footpath visited 14/03/26. The path does not cut through the small field to the south as indicated currently on the map - there are no gates or stiles to facilitate this. Instead, if walking south from Sheffield Road, the footpath actually follows the curved fence east and south, staying between the building and the curved fence before entering the southern field. Confirmed this on Derbyshire County Council website - see "Peak Forest Footpath 60, Sparrowpit".

This is an extremely dangerous climb. There are no true steps, just fairly random rocks. Very slippery when wet, and it's a long way down to the stream :(
