cycleway to nowhere

This cycle path appears to be disconnected each end. Possibly it runs to Bretton way? I have cycled it on that route, but don't recall whether it's a cycle route proper

Grass path extends along brook as far as I can see, presumably meets the industrial estate near Royal Mail

This seems to me to be a path and not a cycleway. It can be cycled but with conflict with pedestrians. Also many tree roots under the tarmac make it tricky going in places. I saw no cycleway signs. Does anyone else have a view?
