Pnawn da Mark,

For the gaps, you can use area:highway=* areas to cover the roads (area:highway=*) if you prefer! You can then stick these to other areas with no issues.

As for your question, I've been labelling these as farmyards if I can see a name on either the OS OpenData StreetView (April 2016) or OS OpenMap Local (October 2024) layers - you can also add garden areas themselves on top of the farmyards for more detailed mapping.

Hope this helps,
Ceirios

Hi Mark,

Croeso i OpenStreetMap! I just want to advise you not to stick landuse (woodlands, farmlands, etc) to any roads or administrative boundaries if possible because it does make things a bit annoying to edit down the line

Hi!

Thanks for letting me know - I wasn't aware of this at the time. I just remember there were some bits with names and some without.

Should be right now!

bollocks, thank you! my C is going on my keyboard so i must've copied the wrong thing!

Nope. We take the English name usually if there isn’t a Welsh one in use, and these usually withstand mutation too.

155162807

Sorry for commenting 4 months later, but the name:cy fields you filled are definitely not Welsh. The spelling and pronunciation is nowere near similar.

Oops, you're right! Feel free to revert and change the correct one.

But bear in mind this change has only just been approved, so it will take some time for signage to be updated - councils typically take a while if the signs are in good condition.

Hi there

You added strips of 'natural=wood' areas near the Hadyn Ellis building

These are not forests, and should be done as barrier=hedge lines.

I suggest you read the Wiki page for natural=wood for more information:
natural=wood

Happy mapping

Hi there, been here recently and noticed your fixmes on Tyndall Street.

No physical separation (other than the islands) - as to whether it's a dual carriageway, no clue unfortunately.

Hi Adamos, only now seeing this so sorry for delay in response

Thanks for letting me know - will fix! There were previously public_transport=stop_positions mapped here with public_transport=platforms separate as you mentioned some months ago but for some reason things were removed/changed.

Diolch

Haia D R Syfydrin,

Byddai'n syniad da os ydych chi'n sôn am yr hyn rydych chi wedi newid yn eich sylwadau grŵp newid, yn lle dim ond rhoi "Local Knowledge". Bydd hyn yn helpu defnyddwyr eraill i ddeall yr hyn rydych chi wedi bod yn ei wneud!

Hi D R Syfydrin,

It would be a good idea if you mentioned what you've changed in your changeset comment, instead of only putting "Local Knowledge". This will help out other users and let them know what you've been working on!

Helo Pibby59 a chroeso i OpenStreetMap!

I just want to let you know that you can press Q on your keyboard (or Right-Click and Square) to square up the corners of buildings. I also notice that you've traced the roof as it appears on the imagery - you should only trace the footprint of the building.

Cofion gorau and happy mapping,
Ceirios

Hi eajones, welcome to OSM!

I noticed on the elements you're adding, you're using quite a lot of unnecessary nodes.

This can make things a bit tough to edit later on - so in the future, consider using less nodes (like on the right side of the fairway) - less is more!

Happy mapping

Hi Bernard

Thanks for pointing it out! Will try and rectify when I can - not sure how that happened in Relatify though.

You should NEVER specify locations relating to yourself or other people you know for yours (and others) personal safety.
A better changeset comment would be something like "Adding house address" without specifying it belongs to someone.

Hi there beza208,

You've got this natural=tree_row way:
way/1311996189#map=19/52.266599/-3.967009

crossing over a couple of roads and tracks when that is not the case on the imagery

Cheers,
Ceirios
