If you are walking and hoping cross here you should try contact the team working on the lock. We had walked from St Ives park and ride 5 miles and were planing to cross here and return via Needingworth and Holywell bankside paths. but we had to retrace our steps. It would have been nice to know beforehand. their option is to walk to Earith to cross the river.

Closure for works should probably be reflected as this is taking place over several months. Clarkson Road is the diversion route for cyclists.

There are several fallen trees along the footpath which will stop many from progressing further. One heavy log hangs by a few fibres attached to the main truck and could fall has you are walking under it and on the footpath, be careful.

1) stream is stitched to admin boundary - I'm not going to risk unstitching it and moving the bdy.
2) Course of Billing Brook has significantly changed: much less crinkly on the whole. Presumably boundary remains unchanged??
