Hello.
Please note that "crossing=marked" is intended specifically for crosswalks with STOP sign.
Crosswalks that are controlled by traffic lights should be tagged as "crossing=traffic_signals". ๐Ÿ‘

Hello.
Could you please elaborate on this edit? There's a bike path on the right but not on the left?๐Ÿคจ That seems contrary to the satellite imagery..

Hello.
Just fyi in case you were not aware of, recently there's been a proposal approved on how to consistently tag crosswalk markings: crossing:markings=*. This should cover all the different stripes and lines we encounter in nyc๐Ÿ‘

Hello.
You tagged this intersection as controlled by traffic lights, yet satellite imagery clearly shows it's STOP-sign intersection...

Hello.
It would be best if each individual crosswalk way was mapped as a separate. That way they can be tagged individually and independently.

Hello.
When extracting POI from buildings, please keep "nycdoitt:bin=*" tag on the building since that's the unique id to look it up in NYC's building database.

Reading that article it seems like you might have misunderstood or misread their description. It states
"...Hot spots could include bike shops, cafes, water fountains, restrooms, photo spots, and other popular sites.
Start Points are popular spots ... like parking lots or trailheads, and can only be found on Strava."
So, they are saying to add features to OSM map from which people often start their routes, but they have to be real features, like shops, cafes, parking lots, fountains, etc. It can't be an arbitrary spot in the middle of a random sidewalk with nothing there.
Also, I'm not sure what they mean by it, but OSM has plenty of parking lots and trailheads mapped, they are not exclusive to Strava. ๐Ÿคท
If your marathon starting location has some sort of a sign or a plaque there, you are by all means welcome to add that, but not just an arbitrary spot with no real world equivalent like what you added here.

Hello.
This kind of feature doesn't really belong on OSM. Please see osm.wiki/Good_practice that explains what type of features are good to map. ๐Ÿ‘

Hello.
This is clearly not a swimming pool but a boat or a car cover or maybe a greenhouse.
Not everything blue is a swimming pool.

Hello.
Just because something is blue doesn't make it a swimming pool. This is most definitely not a swimming pool. It's just a blue blanket or blue chairs. You wouldn't have a swimming pool the size of an umbrella..
As such this feature is going to be deleted.

Hello.
When mapping features please pay attention not to accidentally connect/attach/glue features to each other. In this case you attached this swimming pool to neighboring garages.

Also, when mapping features that are supposed to be round, after you are done drawing a rough outline, you can right-click on that feature and select "Circularize" to make it properly round. That will make your mapping look neater and more accurately represent the real world feature. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™‚

Hmm, i see that https://www.themontclairgardens.com points to a different location not too far away with a different address. ๐Ÿค”Two apartment complexes with the same name in the same town?

Ah, i see you already mapped the hydrant inside in the middle. osmcha didn't show that.
Although, should those 2 pillars be mapped separately or are they integral part of the hydrant?

NYC also has some effort to map sidewalks. We have quite a few people on osmus slack doing it. You are welcome to join to discuss these things and coordinate. Also there're map tasking manager projects such as https://tasks.openstreetmap.us/projects/152 and https://tasks.openstreetmap.us/projects/224 and I think more but can't kind it right now.

Hello.
Are all 3 buildings here have the same street address?
