Hi and welcome to OSM.
In this case those tags were correct. We mark driveways wit combination of highway=service + service=driveway. service=driveway

Hi, thanks for working on roads improvements in CT, but I see a few problems here.
I don't think that a commercial map is authoritative how the roads should be named. And secondly, any maps even on internet are copyrighted and copying information from them (whether it is google maps or mailamap) into OSM is not OK.

You can use public domain sources from government like https://portal.ct.gov/DOT/PP_SysInfo/Functional-Classification-Maps or those provided in iD editor like Bing Streetside or Mapillary. You can find them in the side menu "Map data" or when you press U.

But important is what is on the ground through a survey. For example this Lockwood Road turns out to be Wayside Lane which is posted on the road sign: https://www.bing.com/maps?cp=41.281554%7E-73.415384&lvl=17.0&v=2&sV=1&style=x&dir=293.5&pi=-2

Since you are editing roads, few more things:
1) Please don't create descriptive names like "(PRIVATE)". Use "ownership=private" tag
2) Don't use abbreviated names like "Rd" or "Ave", but spell the full name.
3) Before changing road classification please consult osm.wiki/Connecticut/Highway_classification wiki page or user jnighan who spent quite some time on the current classification in CT.

Cheers

Thanks for contributing. Though house number indeed goes into `addr:housenumber` tag as it was before.

Then you can provide evidence of this new development.

Satellite imagery does not show any ponds nor parks. Those areas are normal residential areas with buildings.

Thanks for contributing, but driveways are a valid type of data that we normally keep in OSM.

Hi,
thanks for contributing, but even though the name contains word "park" it is a golf course and not a park.

Hi Frank,
thanks for contributing.
Yeah the building shape doesn't reflect the reality. But in iD editor you can switch background imagery (press B) to "MetroCOG othoimagery 2019" and draw it more precisely.

Hi and thanks for contributing.

Things to improve for next submissions:
1) Parts of address go to different tag
addr:housenumber = street number
addr:street = full street name (no abbreviations like St, Ave,..)
addr:unit = Suite number (without word suite)

2) Telephone numbers have to have international predial +1-203-...

3) We don't use tag "Country". No need to add it.

4) Don't add "Category" tag. It's already described in office=newspaper

Thanks in advance

Was probably to improve the road shape accuracy

Hi,
you were told multiple times to not create overlaps between green and fairway polygons, and to stop avoiding using of multipolygons by drawing the shape around bunkers. Please comply with the community rules.

Hi and thanks for contributing to OSM.
However, I could notice that the buildings you drew are not very precise. Almost all of them dont follow the real shape of the building you can see from the imagery and many don't have their internal angles at 90˚.
Could you please go thought your buildings again and adjust the shape so it reflects the reality? To adjust the angles you can press "Q" and the edit will do it automatically.

Another thing is, could you explain why you changed this research institute to a restaurant? node/6276061706
thanks

Thanks it looks all good.
The only thing that's missing is connection between the "crossing" and "road" lines. At their intersection they should share a node, which should be tagged as 'highway=crossing'.
I added them for you. Just have a look.
Cheers

All looks good.
Great job!

Hi and thanks for contributing to OSM!
I checked and the building still appears on all recent aerial imagery. I guess what makes it confusing is that it is split into several building parts with different heights.
I think the easiest way for you to add a new business would be to create a new point and mark it as a new restaurant.. etc. That way you don't need to deal with complicated buildings or drawing new building outlines.

Hi,
there are several things that are wrong with your edits.
1) Please don't delte existing objects to replace them with a new version. You can drag the nodes/points of the old shape to adjust the accuracy.
2) Don't create "lollipop extensions" like you did here: way/109463818
If there is a bunker in the fairway you have to use "multipolygon".

You can get more information by reading these pages:

osm.wiki/Multipolygon_Examples

Please, don't delete existing objects. If you need to change their shape then drag their nodes to new positions.

Hi.
When drawing greens and fairways please don't create overlaps between the areas. Please see here for more details: leisure=golf_course#Common_mapping_pitfalls

No problem. Things like this just happen.

hi, thanks for working on OSM, but those are not railway crossings. Railway leads on a bridge over the road so those two never physically meet.
