These look like individual buildings to me. Landuse residential is for a group of buildings.

Since you are using josm try the buildings tool plugin, fast and it tags and maps buildings correctly and directly.

individual buildings should be tagged building=yes a group of buildings can be tagged landuse=residential and or place=hamlet village town etc.

Most Ottawa LED have nom been switched to led.

Is it really necessary to clutter up the map with horse=no, bicycle and foot=unknown on a 7 node residential highway?

You may wish to read through
building=mosque where basically the recommendation is to use amenity=place_of_worship + religion=muslim so it lines up with the different OM tools.

I think Morocco had over a thousand duplicate buildings when I had a look at it. The intention was to remove most of the duplicates. Which I think I did besides cleaning up a few obvious errors. From memory both the building and the grounds were tagged building and I removed one of the the tags. If you'd like to retag the Mosque I'm more than happy.

I think JOM validation highlights them and changing it to heathcare centre wouldn't have taken that much extra effort unless you're using an automated tool.

deleting the tag and adding fixmedoesn

First background for the most part I live in Canada and armchair map from imagery. I used to do a lot of HOT validation but found looking at a small part of the map and doing multiple checks to see if it had been mapped correctly took a lot more time than just grabbing a larger chunk of the map then running the duplicate building script and putting it through JOSM validation and doing a few other checks. I’m lazy so that’s what I do these days.

I have osteoarthritis in my fingers so don’t map everyday. I correct things on the map but don’t normally add things such as building:roof:shape=pitched, which was added by Stefano Verugi some seven years ago. In this instance though I corrected it to roof:shape=pitched.

I think in this case it needs boots on the ground to resolve but if you’re thinking of one of your mechanical edits I’m happy with whatever you think.

By whom?

Traditionally it is better to tag untag ways rather than delete them. <crtl>h in JOSM will give you the history of the asset. I note you have deleted a untagged path as well.
