The difference between leisure=pitch + sport=equestrian and leisure=horse_riding is not that one is for practice or warn up and the other for competition. The difference is that leisure=pitch + sport=equestrian is for just the riding areas and leisure=horse_riding is for the whole facility including stables and other stuff, see leisure=horse_riding and way/916315775

Hi, du hast hier building=shed durch leisure=horse_riding ersetzt. Auf dem Luftbild sieht es aber so aus, als ob das Gebäude noch da ist. Wenn das so ist, wäre ein building-Tag nach wie vor sinnvoll. (Gilt auch für way/80338466).
Außerdem ist leisure=horse_riding auch nicht für einzelne Gebäude geeignet, sondern für komplette Reitanlagen (siehe osm.wiki/DE:Tag:leisure=horse_riding). In diesem Fall hier würde es wahrscheinlich an way/111499967 gehören. In der rechten unteren Ecke davon kann man auf dem Luftbild ja die Reitplätze erkennen (osm.wiki/DE:Tag:leisure=pitch#Reitplatz).

I don't know this building. You wrote that the area is covered, so maybe building=roof would be more specific? Otherwise, perhaps building=stadium or building=riding_hall? If nothing more specific fits, building=yes.

On a map that only shows buildings (regardless of their use) buildings without a building tag will not be shown.
Of course, nobody forces you to map the building(s) in a stadium; but in this case it was already tagged as a (quite large) building before, and you removed the tag, although it was not wrong. I thought that was unintended.
Compare indoor examples on wiki page for sports_centre:
leisure=sports_centre#Indoor. If you can find further evidence that a building tag is unnecessary in this case, please let me know; this is not the first time that I have seen mappers replace building tags with leisure tags.

I think that every building needs a building tag, regardless of whether it also has other tags or not. Otherwise it will not be rendered as a building.
On the wiki page it says "building=stadium : the building area (if applicable as a multipolygon)", I don't understand what that means. If you mean that this stadium building does not need a building tag, then so be it.

Hi, I think leisure=track + sport=horse_racing is inappropriate for way/1088856632. This is a jumping arena, it should better be tagged as leisure=pitch + sport=equestrian, see leisure=pitch#Riding_arena. The obstacles / fences in this jumping arena are not permanent and should therefore better not be mapped, see barrier=horse_jump.

Hi, why did you tag way/1089513278 as leisure=horse_riding and way/1089529589 as leisure=pitch + sport=equestrian? They look similar in the aerial view. I wonder if leisure=horse_riding is appropriate for such a flat area, compare wiki.

Ein einzelner Reitplatz ist aber keine Reitanlage (leisure=horse_riding), so wie im Wiki beschrieben.
Nach was suchst du denn? Bei den JOSM-Presets wird das Preset für Reitplätze leider nicht angezeigt wenn man nach "reit" sucht. Bei iD ist das besser; da kann man nach "reitplatz" suchen und bekommt dann das Reitplatz-Preset zur Auswahl. Das Problem ist bei JOSM bekannt (https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/21907#comment:13 ff) und wird hoffentlich irgendwann behoben. Du kannst derzeit in JOSM nach "pferd" suchen, dann bekommst du ein Preset "Pferdesport" angezeigt und da kannst du dann "Reitplatz" (für leisure=pitch) auswählen.

Hi, way/1087094564 seems to be the indoor of arena (a building) of Moorlands Equestrian Centre (node/6783641323), but it has no building tag. The tag leisure=horse_riding should be used only once for the whole riding centre (see leisure=horse_riding) and we already have the node for that. An alternative tag for the building may be building=riding_hall
