This whole area is a construction site for a big new housing development, but it's nearly finished. Nobody moved in yet, but I think bits of it might be opening up for pedestrian access. Anyway I deleted a few surface level roads/footways which were out of date, but there's some weird stragglers here which I guess no longer exist.

I just downloaded the OpenStreetMap data extract (osm_sample.osm) from the OSM API for this area near City of London. Pros: The API provides free and open geospatial data that is incredibly detailed and easy to access via REST. Cons: The node limit of 50000 per request makes it difficult to download larger areas in a single query without resorting to planet.osm.

I think this can be classed as no longer a construction site.
Still some sales sales showroom stuff, and I don't know if anyone's moved in yet, but certainly someone could survey the addresses of these new houses now.
