This area is not "Head of the Town". It is the town centre. Abercorn Square is the commonly accepted centre of the town. The "Head of the Town" area encompasses Marian Park, St. John's Place, Inisfree Gardens, Fountain street, Fountain Terrace, Patrician Villas, Drumrallagh areas - (areas upstream of the river, hence the 'head' of the town). The corresponding 'Foot of the Town' area encompasses Railway Street, Eden Terrace, Abercorn Cottages, Alexander Place, Park Road (south of the A5), Ard Na Foyle, Canalside (areas downstream of the river, hence the 'foot' of the town).

This entire building (all 4 stores) was demolished and replaced with a Lidl store. Argos moved to 14 Railway Street, BT82 8EH
