This section of the Ramapo-Dunderberg trail (Red) has been removed from the NYNJ Trail conference maps and the actual trail blazes removed or blotted out. This is due to a rock slide on the section that climbs back up to the Timp (to the right of my note locator)- with a large mass of fractured and unstable rock still positioned over the trail. I know - I was dumb enough to bushwack my way up the old trail and had a good view of the cracks in the face of the ridge over my head. There is a sign to the northwest of my marker that redirects hikers to the Timp-Torne (Blue trail) directly to the North. The newer Trail Conference (Harriman North) maps show the current path.
