Introduction
I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Oceanography from Bangladesh Maritime University (BMU), with a focus on ocean science, physico-chemical and physical properties of the marine environment, and GIS/remote sensing. My research investigates the environmental impacts of refugee migration, the ecological role of Marine Protected Areas, and the carbon dynamics of coastal ecosystems. I apply remote sensing, GIS, and oceanographic tools (CTD, ADCP, etc.) to analyze ecosystem services and landscape transformations. I have published on blue carbon, marine ecology, and coastal sustainability in peer-reviewed outlets and conferences. Alongside my research, I contribute to open-data science and collaborative mapping through OpenStreetMap and HOT’s OpenMappingHub Asia Pacific.
