Hi, I've followed the tagging scheme of osm.wiki/Comparison_of_life_cycle_concepts but I share your doubts on this. That's the only node in wich i've used this scheme.

1) "overbloating" is not this case where object are mapped by people that follows osm wiki rules
2) openstreetmap is not a simple "map" of things that you wish in and wish not. It's a more complex geodatabase. If someone puts data inside, that's useful data. Moreover if someone checks this data and places it in the real place.
3) You are deleting all sort of things; you cannot map on thoughts. I assume that nothing that you had done has been verified by you (I have photos that prove this)
4) All your edits are deletions of data, not a single improvement has been made by select or gnucx in Catania. (deleted nodes, fake things added, disconnected ways and more)
5) This complaint is not about single nodes, is about time that people spend on mapping things, time that you despise deleting things sitting in a chair without real verification.

Moreover any user can see that most of the data here is checked and verified by me, matthew fazio, tosky, trimoto; if there is need to delete something because it is not real that is immediatly done in the right way.

in this and other changesets you've deleted bus stops entirely, not shelters.

Perfavore non eliminare se non hai fisicamente accertato che non sono più presenti. Ci sono diverse fermate del bus che hai cancellato con l'altro utente senza neanche accorgertene. Chi se ne deve accorgere? Non puoi pretendere che gli altri controllino ogni tua modifica, non ha neanche senso. Vai a piedi, controlli e togli uno ad uno, io sono andato a piedi ho controllato e non ne ho trovata una REALE. Non hai la mia fiducia e stai rovinando un lavoro durato anni

No reason to delete it. User cannot be trusted on deletions.

You need to map what actually IS there. I checked and many of your deletions aren't true, so cannot be trusted.

I cannot (and don't) trust (because of all your deletions) that you actually did go there and checked the existence of that phone.

Fermo restando la regola principale:
1) non si mappa per il rendering della mappa di osm
2) osm è un geodatabase e non una "mappa" di quello che vuoi vedere o non vedere

la qualità della mappa viene degradata dalle tue cancellature. Per mappare tutti quei cassonetti qualcuno è andato a piedi a segnare ogni singolo cassonetto, se non ti interessano ti crei una mappa dove non appaiono. A quanto pare la cancellazione è di un mese fa. Tutt'ora i cassonetti sono presenti.

Sì, c'erano fermate cancellate. E ogni shelter a catania ha un numero di referenza che è stato mappato con "fatica". Quanto meno potevi inserirlo nella fermata su di una nota.
