This is a mandatory approach segment of the Frejus road tunnel, which carries international HGV traffic up to the standard 44 t; an 11.5 t limit here would legally close the tunnel to nearly all lorries, and routers honouring the tag divert trucks over the Col du Mont Cenis hairpins. We could not find such a limit signed on the ground or in tunnel operator documentation.
